Iown a v14 alumacraft with the three benches. I would like to make a splitbench out of the last one. Is this advisable or is the bench structural? Doesnt seem to be but just want to make sure, thanks

Re: alumacraft

it depends on the boat, a picture might be useful if you have one.

Re: alumacraft

It is structural and you boat will get floppy. If you want to do it for the ease of tiller steering you can do it but leave an aluminum support all the way across.

It's structural. You might however make a flip up section that locks in when underway.
