Baseball season right around the corner. Just curious as to which league you prefer. I'm a die-hard National fan and have never taken to the D-H. I think it adds offense but takes so much of baseball out of the picture. Double substitutions are almost unheard of in the American league. Seems more fair for a (head hunter type) pitcher to face the (chin) music. Let me be more blunt, I don't like the American League at all, never have, never will.

I like the American League, just because of the BoSox. I don't like the DH either, I really enjoy the interleague play when the Sox play in the NL parks. This year they are making a west coast swing, San Diego, LA and SF. Good stuff ;)

Don't get me wrong gaugeguy, there are teams I like in the american, just don't care for the league itself. Years back they shaved the mound (advantage hitter), obviously the ball is livelier (advantage hitter). I just don't think a baseball game needs to be 10-8 to be good

That's why Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe and now Curt Schilling are so amazing, they are not in many games where there are more than 5 runs scored by both teams 1-0, 2-1, 3-2 are common when these guys are on the mound.

Love the AL, hate the DH.

With the AL in my back yard I'd be miserable if I decided to hate 'em, but I learned about the strategic intricacies of double substitutions from, believe it or not, EA Sports Triple-play Baseball on my Sony Playstation.

I agree 100% with gaugeguy - the best games have the lowest scores. Don't you just hate it when somebody walks in halfway through a scoreless game & says, "good, I haven't missed anything."
