Re: America's Got Talent

money wise it's probly better she didn't win. she'll have a cd out by the end of the month.
it shows that content over talant wins out in the usa every time.
im not bashing the guy but 100000000s of guys can sing like that.
for a 10 year old to have a voice like that is real talent

amen to that. that is a once in a lifetime that someone like that comes along.

Re: America's Got Talent

I liked fighting gravity...it is not a new concept as there have been plenty of groups do the black light floating illusions before.

One of my good friends from virginia tech is their fraternity brother and got them started and choreographed/performed with them in their first performance at a sorority talent show (Delta Gamma's annual Anchor Splash, Feb 2009)

The video on youtube started getting a lot of hits and they actually got invited to perform at the ESPY's in Los Angelas which was where they got some more exposure and then they just randomly decided to go for the America's Got Tallent.

Unfortunately, my buddy had recently graduates and started working a real job and couldn't go on the show with them.

It's just cool to see them get this far when it all started out as a Sorority Tallent Show!

Second year in a row my favorite, an operatic soprano, has finished second.

Michael is good, and he fits USA taste. I wish him well.

Yea,Lisa is so cool...I would team drive with her anytime!
I'm a solo driver and have been for years.
I'm heading to California the first of the month driving the Speed Channel rig to Fontana for the race.

No way..too cool. You get to see all the races then?

Re: America's Got Talent

I have been baffled by the uproar over a couple of posts at least partly misread.

I apologize to all for contributing to the hijack of this thread to discuss the relationship of USA and Canada. I don't consider it an argument, but it was definitely a hijack.

I called one comment rude. Many people thought I called the whole post rude. No. What I called rude was, "I think the show is stupid.". That comment was out of line and I still think it was rude.

My apology to WITF for the appearance of my comment being on his whole post. I didn't mean that at all.

I only catch the show now and again but when I do I look at the talent and ask myself, "If I was in Vegas would I watch them"? As talented as the little girl is, I could listen to one, maybe two songs before I left for something more appealing. I just don't see her in a Vegas act at all' I think defiying gravity was much more Vegas oriented, but thats just me. :)

Roger that. It seems that AGT is turning into American Idol. 3 out of the 4 finalists were singers. I think my daughter said a singer won it last year too......

Re: America's Got Talent

I think there is conflict in how the talent is judged. There is a difference between pure talent and what act would do best in a Vegas show. True the little girl had the best and most amazing talent. Really, how often do you see a 10 yo sing like a 30 yo???? NEVER!!!! Grim is very good but the girl's talent is more amazing. Now what's a better Vegas act? Several others would be, i.e. Arc Attack, Antonio Restivo the fire guy, Grasso the magician or maybe FG. Maybe they should change the name of the show to "America's got Talent for a Vegas Show" since they're always saying what makes for a better Vegas show. If they're looking simply for the best and most amazing talent then Jackie should have won hands down.
