Thanks Guys for my last request for help.

I have a 1964 Grady White boat.
I had the old engine replaced with a 1970 115hp Evenrude. The macanic who installed it and the new controlls cut the wires from my amp gauge. the gauge is still on the dash but does not work, and the wires are gone to were they went. Does anyone have any idears on how to reconect it?

Thank you,

The Sea Guy

Re: AMP GAUGE

Put a volt meter in its place. Much easier to hook up and gives better information. Amp meter only tells you if the alternator is working. A volt meter will tell you if the alternator is working and the condition of the battery.

Buttanic

Re: AMP GAUGE

What would the volt meter read if the alt. and batteries are working correctly, 12 or higher? Where could I find out what the volt meter is really telling me?
Thanks.
