Bat's are common up here and they come and go. Why a bat could spend a peaceful day poo-ing in the boat and fly out and re-fuel at dusk.

I would not go with the snake idea but a Jack Russel tied inside the boat will get whatever it is!

LOL... Googled Jack Russels... they are a Terrier. If as Thumpbass says, the scat is the size of a tic-tac, that rat will eat the Terrier for lunch, along with any snake you put in there 8)

I was just funnin' the guy as he seemed a bit squeamish about snakes. A rat bait with Warfarin from any grocery store will take care of the problem. It's like candy to rats, they eat it, get thirsty, go to water, and bleed to death internally (it's a super blood thinner)

I have a 7 foot Boa you can barrow.....LOL
He would eat whatever it is up to the size of dog or cat..
It eats 3 jumbo rats for a meal...

It could be just some "crap" left over when the boat was stored for a time and you didn't notice. The varmint could be long gone!

LOL... sounds so obvious now that you mentioned it, but if know rats, he's already chewed an escape route into some area high and dry..... best go with the Warfarin.

Of course you could always fill the boat to the top (checking for leaks of course 8)

I would tend to believe that if a rodent tried to chew its way through your hull, the fiber glass shards would probably kill it. just hope you dont find this rat floating around in your beilg one night! +o(

they are about the size and shape of a tic-tac (don't smell like tic-tacs for sure).

What do they taste like? Taste is a much more absolute test.

Kinda thought that's what it was... reminded me of the Cat jerky I've seen over the years... make great pets, quiet, don't eat much...
