Re: Anodes?

WOW!, If I wasn't confused before, I sure am now. I wish all my other posted questions had garnered this type of response, but then maybe it would have just confused me even more about the other things I was asking about. Thanks for all the comments, now I just have to figure out which is the right one. :). Also, aside from the rudder thingy under the cavition plate, there appears to be 2 other anodes, each about 1"x2"x1/4" on the outside bottom on each side of the mounting bracket, so thinking I am good to go?

In a word, yes.

Yes, you are good to go!
But at least you should now understand WHY you are good to go. :D

The manufacturer has no idea of how the boat is going to be used and installs the typical Anodes that would be appropriate for the majority of uses.

Your intended use is in Saltwater which is typically hard on metal parts, but your contact with the water will only be occasional.
If you are in the water less than 100 hours a year, that is equivalent to less than 5 days continuously, so your effects will be extremely minimal compared to someone who moors a boat at a marina for a few months and and sees over 2000 hours of corrosion per year.
You will see less corrosion in 20 years than they will see in one!

Hose off the Exterior and flush the Motor's Interior on muffs with fresh water after each use and you should have no corrosion issues. :joyous:

Your trailer may be at a bigger risk to corrosion than the Boat.
