Re: Another Baby Dies after Being Left in Car

Same thing happened here several months ago. A grandfather was to take infant grandson to daycare for the parents. He for got the sleeping infant in the car, went to work and parked the car on the lot. Then infant died and the grandfather is doing time. Another instance of it happend a little over a year ago...a father forgot his infant daughter in the front seat of his truck. She was revived but suffered brain damage....daddy got off scott free other than knowing he's the reason he has a brain damaged daughter now. How someone can forget their own child is a myth to me.

Forgetting to pick up children from day care is very far removed from leaving them in a car to die! Sorry, no excuse is good enough. I don't have children at home anymore, but I still look around the car as I get out. Just second nature I guess.

Chris..............

These have to be some of the most pathetic stories I have ever heard. How in the world do you "forget" you child in a car!!!

I for one WILL judge based off of a news story like this. My judgement is, this idiot that left his kid in the car should visit the local vet and be neutered, just to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Pathetic.

I agree, how could you forget the kid. I would notice after about 10 seconds at the most.

On the other hand....

No way you guys could live in a third world country.

Car seat... WHATS THAT??? We brought one over there when we visited Thailand last time. Dang thing fell off the truck the last day there. I am sure the person who found it had no idea what it was.

Car...dont have one, lets take the motorcycle.

I have seen a family of five on the back of a Honda scooter. Many many many times.

My wifes friend was on a bike with her infant son. Car hit them, luckily they were going slow. Kid had a huge bump on its head. I paid for it to get xrayed, luckily nothing wrong.

Now that I think of it, I drove the motorcycle numerous times with the 5 year old stepson on it, infront of me. He would always wear a helmet, not that it would help much. I was very careful too. Funny thing is the boy would always get sleepy. Had to keep pinching him to keep him awake.

This is just SOME of the things that go on in a third world country.

Ken

And in the third world, what is the most treasured resource? Their children of course.

I too have worked there. For the last 13 years. I have seen many of the motorcycles of which you speak, and many accidents involving them.

All that aside, parents there don't leave their children on the motorcycle while they duck in for a quickie!

Chris................

The question is not how could someone forget an infant, toddler,or small child. The question is why would you leave them in the first place. No quarter here.
