We have recently picked up a 1979 Boston Whaler Montauk 17 with an Evinrude 88 SPL, which we were told was a 1992 model (but I'm thinking maybe not after more research) The plate from the bracket is gone and I have only been able to locate a stamped serial number on the top of the block 'G3099624'. Any help with the specific year and model, if it's possible with only a serial number, would be appreciated to make parts hunting easier.
