Another Project Boat? Quick Cash?

Hi, Im looking to invest into a quick project. My granfather offered to sell me his 14ft Aluminum Boat, Trailer and Motor. All I know is that It did run at one point, his son (my uncle) took the carb off to fix it and lost it. Its a 25hp 1975 - 1980's im presuming. The trailer is in decent condition, no rust. The boat has 3 bench seats, needs to be cleaned out, transom is good. Hear this, 100$!!!! I want to take it on and just fix up the motor, clean up the boat and trailer and sell it. Im thinking with everything good to go and working a good 14ft tin with trailer could get me anywhere from 750$ - 1500$ depending on condition? I wish I had pics, I will this weekend though! Il update this easter when I go look at it!

Uhhmm, I think he stated he was Selling it to him for $100 bucks. There's usually "No Strings Attached" when you pay for something!!!!:noidea:

​He knows Il be selling it, Ive got another boat already. He's moving to a small apartment. Also he's doing great in terms of money, so he doesnt need much. He just wants me to learn about buying and selling, prohets ect.

Agreed, but 'no strings attached' may not always mean there are no hopes or expectations, especially among family members.

I agree after a few I'd offer, only thing worse is helping them restore rebuild then they sell . Half the fun of being a boater is working on to make better for your use. The quick cash was the give away but he might find out he'll like and use and keep awhile n keep out relative humidity and most likely be offered more deals for the sharing.
