Hey guys... I'm moving soon from the mountains back down towards the north Carolina coast. I really think I'll be able to pick up a Saturn kaboat that I've been eyeing for months now.... The 13'extra wide version. Question is, I'll primarily be using it on black river waters and creeks with some Cyprus trees and stumps submerged and will almost certainly hit one from time to time. Would you trust the kaboat with its extra thick bottoms or think I should go with aluminum boat? I only plan on using my 2hp Johnson or my Minn kota.

I am curious about this too. I have been reading a number of reviews on the saturn inflatables and haven't seen anyone make much mention to how resistant the material is to the environment. I have an old Zodiac 12fter myself but have been looking at the Saturn SK548 18ft Inflatable Kaboat. I like the design moreso than most inflatables but I too worry about the durability.

Bumping this in hopes of gathering some sort of feedback on this.

I actually own the SD330W and I have to say that the bottom is made of 1.5mm PVC if I recall correctly, and that is double of thickness of a regular Zodiac. Almost bullet proof fabric. Cant see you having any issues with the Saturn - stick to the airfloor you will be glad that you did!

Thank you sir - I do a lot of fishing in a fairly urban waterway that is known for its share of debris and garbage. I would feel better with a more rigid floor - perhaps something aluminum in construction?
