Sounds like that could be a better boat for your money. Four Winns in that era were making a good solid boat. Being outboard makes things a lot simpler. I'm not in the market for that type of boat right now but it sure sounds like a decent price.
I am pro Four Winns and pro outboard.
That is probably enough power for that boat. However, it was probably rated up to 140hp.
If in a few years you want a different motor it is pretty simple to upgrade an outboard. Although not inexpensive.
I think some see outboards as detracting from the price in that class of boat. I think since they are rarer and more desirable they are worth a little more actually...that is just my opinion though.
