I've read several responses regarding fuel injector pump problems. I have an additional question or two:
I have a 2001 Yamaha 250EFI Ox 66. My fuel pump was recently replaced. (my fault - I let the boat set up (with stabalizer) for over 1.5 years.) But even though the pump has been replaced, the engine does not run well at all. In fact it only runs if I disconnect the "yellow/white limp home wire". Two data points: although this is 7 years old, the motor only has less than 100 hours. And, regarding the new fuel pump, when the motor is running (very rough) the fuel pressure at the VST is about 39 psi but drops to zero immediately when turned off.
Should it drop to zero or should it slowly bleed down? If so, any solution ideas.
Given the rough running, any ideas about what else might be an issue (and solution). Thanks
