If a transom is needed to be repaired where two different materials need to be glued,like PVC and wood, a good glue for that is G/Flex.At least that's what G/FLEX and NRS says so I would trust that it is. I haven't had to do a transom but I did use it on some crappy china made d-rings and it worked really well. The sewing on the material was done in such a way that it created large wrinkles to where the patch had some large voids and wouldn't lay completely flat. I expected the G/FLEX to fill the voids and it did. It's a two part adhesive that is not as easy to use as other glues but it might just be the best for certain projects.
