I am a Life. I have: motorboating, rowing, canoeing, fishing, and have some of the requirements down for water skiing. Among others, but those are the only real boating ones.
Before the spring of last year, I never woulda thought about a trip like that. But, I have learned that I am capable, and I am so glad that I went.
That last stretch on baldy really makes one second guess, but getting to the top sure fixes that. There was a little snow on the backside, but we didn't go that way, as that was our layover day, so we were in Ewells park both nights, both before and after that climb. On the way down, another scout in our crew hurt his leg, and 4 of us had to run to Baldytown to get help. Just as it started hailing shooter marble sized hail, and by the time we had sprinted to the bottom (layover day, so we didn't have full packs) there was 12 inches of hail on the ground. Crazy.
