I got up this morning and my eyes were okay. Later on about noon my boss asked me if I was having trouble seeing. I said No and he asked me to go look at my eyes in the mirror. OMG,,,,the whites of my eyes are blood red! I got a headache real bad last night but nothing really unusual. One time before about 15 years ago my eyes did the same thing.

I asked my wife since she is in nursing school, but she didn't know what could have caused it. The only thing that makes me wonder that could have caused it is from Saturdays wedding reception. I haven't had any alcohol for several months :D. Been trying to stop the non-social drinking habit. Well,,,the wedding was social with a big arse party. I felt out of place with all those that were partaking in the booze. From 10 a.m. til 9 p.m. I maybe drank 6 beers. At 9 I started on drinking liquior and by midnite I was pretty much falling down drunk. I didn't get where I was blacking out or anything of that sort.

Now here it is Tuesday and my eyes look way worse than bloodshot. I don't have any history of high blood pressure or sugar.

I'm 51 today and a bit to young to screw up my eyesight. Maybe it is lack of seeing women in their bikini's? I knew I should have docked my boat this year to prevent this problem.........SS

Re: Any Eye Docs

Get your blood pressure checked asap. That could be a cause.

Sounds like alcohol poisoning to me. You have to stay in shape if you are going to keep up with the kids. Another wedding could be serious. Good luck.

Oz, yeah there was weed but with having to deal with random drug screens, I haven't done that stuff in years.

Wife checked my blood pressure 120 over 70, said it was fine.

She made a few phone calls and got on the computer. Its not pink eye for sure. It is subconjunctivitis, caused by heavy lifting, powerful sneezing, coughing,

I was the iceman for the wedding. I hauled in about 1200 pounds of ice in those 50 gallon rubbermade containers. They weigh about 200 lbs when full of ice. Could be the combination of heavy lifting and the alcohol.

There is no treatment except for standard eyedrops. It is surpose to go away in 7 to 14 days. I sorta look like Eddy Hill after his drag boat crash years ago.

Thanks for the help,,,,,BTW, I'm not sure if there was any booze left. You know how those biker types are when they camp out for the night.:D
