I've got a 1yr-old Bayliner 175... love the boat... hate having carpet.

I want to get rid of the carpet before moisture becomes a problem with the floor. I'm planning on pulling up the carpet at the end of the season and coating the floor with UV-resistant durabak.

Does anybody have any feedback on how well Durabak holds up?

Thanks,

--Hise

I've had it on the interior floor of my Jeep for about 6-7 years now. The only area where it's come off is a 2 inch area that was rusted before I applied the Durabak (it was rusted from saltwater dripping off my wet feet). Overall I've been very happy with it.

I did the cocpit of my blue water with durabak and it is awesome. I have had none of it come off at all. I spilled a little on my driveway when I put in on the boat and a 2K PSI pressure washer would not take it off the next day. I think it looks good there next to the glob of marine-tex!

When the carpet in my starcraft gives up I am going to do cocpit of it also!!!
I am getting ready to do my garage floor and am seriously thinking about using it for that too.
Great stuff
