The only reason I would want to plug the ski locker would be for it to double as a livewell....

My thought as well. Otherwise, I'd leave it unplugged.

Although my livewell drains out a thru-hull fitting above the waterline, I leave it unplugged when not full of water. The more airflow in and out of enclosed spaces on a boat the better imho.

But, even after pulling skier's some water gets in the bilge and it easily finds its way into the ski compartment via the PVC pipe that connects the two.

This only happens when your pulling skier's ? or do you normally get water in your bilge/compartment while cruising around ?

Just in case you still want to 'plug' this up .. you might consider trying to Sleeve the Inside of the PVC tube.

Fix it from the inside..

You dont really have much to work with on the outside trying to sleeve and such..so epoxy in a 1/2" ( or whatever size fits in there best ) nipple with a threaded cap/or inside plug.

Depending on what size that is .. you Might be able to find a 'bushing' that sleeves Into the current tube that will accept a Threaded end..

Ditch the Expansion plug.

YD.

PS. its not like this is under Pressure :) ..
