Hello all! I am desperately looking for advice on the proper set-up for my bilge ventilation system. The one I have has obviously been tampered with.

Its not Century specific....They are all the same. The pickups face forward and enter the top of the compartment. The discharges face aft and are connected to hoses that run to the lowest point in the bilge. A powered bilge blower also has a pickup hose that runs down to the bottom, discharging to aft.

On mine both vents are open to the front. Kind of hard to see from this angle, but it's the best I have online at the moment:

unless you have more vents somewhere like on the transom I would think they should either both face rear if air is able to enter engine room from passenger area or one forward intake and one rear exhaust

Doh, you know, I do. Forgot all about the fact the bilge exhaust runs out a grated vent in the center of the stern. I even have a highlighted picture of it :p

ok, this is good! I have the same transom vent on mine. On the transom I have a blower mounted on one vent that has a hose hanging down to the bilge. On the vent adjacent to it is an un-powered hose that hangs down also, but is slightly higher then the blower hose. On the side vents are hoses that hang down to floor level. Is this correct? And which way do your louvers face on your side vents?

sounds right to me... forget about the louvers on the side... if they angle forward they MIGHT catch more air but probably not and if they angle back they MIGHT deflect more water
