My buddies landlord is really into it. He had a setup that spanned the basement.

He also has several miles of track laid through out the 146 acres of land. This is for the miniature trains you can ride on! They have switches and signals and houses built all over the property. In their lease it's written they can hold two conventions a year. Last weekend was one of them. They had several hundred people show up over the weekend and as many as 8 trains running on the tracks at once.

It was so cool. I'll try to get some pics up later.

Big kid gauge.... I have no idea though. These guys really get into it. They use hand signals, and signal with old fashioned kerosene lanterns. It was tons of fun, though I have to admit I didn't get many of the 'railroading' jokes getting thrown around.

I wound up buying the MTH Z4000 transformer. That sucker sure lays the power to the rails! A full 21v! It's interesting though that the Lionel whistle on my PE set will not operate above 17v and the bell above 10v. Interesting!

Going to do a double reverse loop through my library if the wife agrees. I might have to bribe her with a Coach purse! ;)
