Retired from the power making industry and went full time to our Marine Shop. We all have our own ideas of "dream jobs".....this one is mine. :)

Best thing about working on boats is that I get to drive a huge variety of boats I'd never be able to own. :) Worst thing is starving all winter. :(

Re: Anyone here think they have a better job than me?

Years ago I was a machinist, was working in this small shop on the milling machine turning out some small aircraft parts. It was a nice spring day and I was by a window, at the time there was no Mrs. treedancer, lots of pretty girls going to and from the college that was near the shop. It seems that the shop foreman took exception to the fact that I was enjoying myself; the next day I came to work the window was painted black

The next month I was out of there, and onto my job that I still have driving a big truck all over the country, still looking out a window but the scenery is deferent at times.

Still have a small shop at home making parts part time on a mill, and lathe, mostly tooling but plan to give that up in the summers at least. keeps me to damn busy.
