I recently acquired this boat from my grandfather and was wondering if anyone knows any info about it? All I know is it is a 1990 Livingston Esprit (according to the stickers). Title I believe says its a Livingston runabout. I haven't been able to find any info online about this boat nor can I find anything about Livingston making a v hull boat! Any help or a point in the right direction would be awesome!

Welcome Aboard: I think THIS might be your manufacturer.

On the stern of your boat (or on the capacity plate and on your paperwork) there should be a hull ID number (HIN). The first three letters LVI if this is the right manufacturer.

What information are you trying to get about the boat?

Yeah that sounds right. I would have to double check the hull number.

Mostly just looking for info because every Livingston I have seen is a split hull. I refurbished the trailer and went through the boat to make it real nice and was thinking of selling it this spring so I can work on my father's boat which would suit me better.

Thanks for the response!

That Livingston you mentioned is a different bunch: they make really neat CAT boats. They've got a different MIC code than your boat, and they're still in business. None of that is uncommon in the boating world. Manufacturers have a tendency to pop in and pop out, which is kinda' sad 'cuz some of 'em made really sharp boats. Your 15 is a nice lookin' ride.

Now that makes more sense. Yet confusing lol. It is a great boat, could use some more power to push through the water though. Has a small 30 on it right now which is great for me and the dog but 2 people it wont even plane! Great for fishing and crabbing though! Any idea what it could be worth or what kind of price I should list it for?

Look around CL in your area to get a vibe. Depending on it's real condition and your market $1,500 or so would be my first guess. <== Note the word "guess" :)

Prices are kinda' regional. In my area if it's really well kept, being underpowered like that, it's probably about a $1,000 or less boat.
