anyone know what kind of boat this is?

i have a shovlenose boat type with a jet in it .the jet says dolphin on it . the boat is 8'9" tip to tip.if you have any info about it let me know please. i was told from the person i got it from it was made for popular mechanics in 1957.<br /><br />i have some pix of it but i dont know how to post them.

iloweru<br /> man i gotta tell ya.i just dont know.ive seen this design before it seams or onr very similar but i simply cannot put a name to it.PM did make alot of personal boats lik this,so not supprised there.impressed with the jets though.they also made a batboat and other theam show based boats.ill keep lookin but im unable to promise anything

Don’t know what they are called but I have seen them raced on one of those cable sports channels. They are fast as snot in calm water. I couldn’t image any other use for it.
