anyone make a clean looking pvc or abs rod rack?

on my old boat I had a few pieces of pvc for a rod rack setup this style

Wondering if some of you have come up with a cleaner looking DIY pvc/abs setups. Mainly the top of the tubes, on my previous boat i didnt care so I just had them cut straight. Fine and all, but it just looks like cut off pvc.

not sure why I didn't find this earlier, but here's a good tip from someone.
tip for those that make their own PVC rod holders

heat up the end and jam a beer bottle in there to flair it out... sounds like a plan!
