A pad is a small, flat area of the hull located directly on the keel near the transom. It is used on high performance boats like bass boats to improve speed and handling at high speeds. Its a fletcher arrowman, now called arrowflyte I have one. I have a 75 hp mercury oil injection. I get 40 knt

Looks similar to a skatcraft, a speedboat from the early 70's, but the side 'window' was a little different IIRC.
ALso the boats in the James Bond movie in the bayou were all Glastrons.
