Hey all,

I just got a catalog from Bass Pro Shops and found MinnKota released the PowerDrive V2 for 2007. (Figures I just bought a PowerDrive V1 2 months ago)

According to them, the new Foot Pedal is waterproof, and it has an optional wireless foot pedal that doesn't require co-pilot, and you can have up to 10 seperate wireless controllers programmed into the system.

I was reading the MinnKota websight, and it says that the Wireless Foot Petal is compatable with the Power Drive and Power Drive V2 Co-pilot systems.

So Hopefully that means I can add Co-Pilot to my old PowerDrive and use the new V2 waterproof wireless foot pedal??

Can anyone confirm this?

Here's the link: http://www.minnkotamotors.com/products/accessories/detail.asp?pg=pedalwireless

Thanks all,

Call Minn Kota. They have been real helpful when I have called them. They also respond to emails real well.

Yeah i agree with bassboy, minnkota has great customer service.
They added cradle that drops away too, because the V1's can be hard to deploy.

What they need to make is a trolling motor that follows a set depth put out by your depthfinder/sonar. Thta would be cool and it would of course have override for foot control, but would allow you to not have to worry if you want to follow the shore in 6-9 feet of water....or maybe they already make this...LOL! Then I would sound silly....LOL!

So I just found out that trolling motors CAN and indeed DO follow a set depth. But who can really afford to buy a $2000.00 US minn kota trolling motor, unless you are a walleye fisherman who has won a tournament...LOL!
