a quick question tho.... does anyone know where to get closed end 1/4in aluminum rivets with ALUMINUM MANDRELS ???

thanks for the links but neither of them have 1/4in closed and rivets with aluminum mandrels ... i think because of the size they have to make them with steel mandrels to have enough pulling power to get them to set right... where aluminum mandrels would break before they fully set the rivet...

Ive heard that aircraft use alot of bigger rivets,but i imagine they cost alot.have you looked into that as a supply source?

I just saw this video while researching repairing boat leaks. Happy to see you folks have already been through this!

My question at this point is: The 5200, does the hole require being completely dry before riveting?

For the best results the hole should be clean and dry before installing the rivet dabbed with sealant.

Guys - This is over three years old. Whether the hole has to be dry before using 5200 has nothing to do with this topic because it is a generic riveting question. When you have questions like this please don't post off-topic replies or reply to topics with no activity for 90 or more days. Thanks.
