ive' seen on ebay they have some cool carbon fiber cloth pieces , sense I'm making a new dash i am wondering if i could cover it in carbon cloth and then use some clear epoxy to seal it in . any luck . I'm worried about it chalking in the sun of course . Ive seen they sell a clear Polly resin kit intended for surfboards that they say wont chalk ever any one had any experience with this material.

Well, that would probably look better than the wood grained contact paper I found in my boat.

You are correct that 'poxy is not UV stable and either needs to be painted or varnished. You might find more info on clear finishes on this site: http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/index.cfm
