Trojan Batterys

I can buy them locally and they look real good. This place just sells batteries and say they are the best of any battery he has ever sold as far as not being returned , lasting a long time, and holding there charge longer than most.

I use the Trojan deep cycle batteries in my golf cart. Have never had a problem. In a golf cart they last about five or six years.

Hope this helps.

Lubester - I don’t use Trojan batteries but I have come across them and references to them often. They are to batteries what Garmin is to marine electronics. It’s at the top of its class, widely distributed, but not the best of what’s available. Trojan has a reputation as one of the best flooded-cells out there without going into a high-end battery. Their deep-cycle batteries also see a lot of use in low-end solar applications. Any battery that sees common use in solar applications is a cut above the rest.

I use a Trojan battery, I have the SCS225 deep cycle. I have had it for 1 1/2 years and its been working great. It seems to hold a long charge, I have not killed it yet even on a three day fishing trip when I can't put it on the charger at night. I have a 16' dual console aluminum fishing boat with a 50hp main and a 8hp kicker and its my only battery, I do have a jump start pack that I carry in the boat too. My kicker does not charge the battery. I fish for salmon in Puget Sound, I troll a lot and the battery is not being recharged while I'm trolling. I have my fishfinder, GPS, VHF, remote throttle for the kicker, 2 electric downriggers and the boats electrical system all on that one battery. I've been happy with this battery and would buy one again.

LUBEDUDE,
I bought a 30 sea ray with twin 350 chevy's and it came with (4)4 year old Trojan batterys. This season will be my third year with the same battery's and they show no signs of weakening. I try to keep the distilled water above the plates and have a good automatic marine charger in the system. When I lay up the boat for the winter months the battery's are left onboard and the charger is on and trickle chargers the batterys all winter. This keeps them from freezing up.
I have no Idea what they cost but they really seem to be great battery's.
Bill

I used to sell Interstate batteries.....tomany came back. Went to Trojan two years ago and have only had one come back. Use them in my boats and have never had a problem. The guys using them say they are great. Good charge holding qualities.
