I was thinking about how much the Weber improved my Jeep that maybe it would help my boat as well. They have a marine/CG approved carb and it is a progressive 2 BBL so at slow speeds I am not going to use as much gas. When I installed this on my Jeep CJ I went from getting maybe 15(with a rebuilt Carter carb) mpg to 21 and my power was like I had never had. I could cruise and as long as the rpms stayed below 3,000 Weber claimed that you run the idle ciucuit at cruise.(something I NEVER believed until I started getting great milage on the highway) I just like the idea of a pregressive secondary and not dumping both barrells all the time. very soon I am looking to have to rebuild that 2 BBL rottonchester and was just toying around with this idea. BTW my boat has a 3.0L/ Alpha. Thanks.

I don't know about their 2 bbls....................but their 4 bbls work great. Edelbrock makes a marine carb (4 bbl) thats identical to the weber...............they may make a 2 bbl also..............it may be worth checking into.
