Anyone with big Evinrude Tiller????

Hi guys, I have an operational question

I am converting 50 hp 1989 Enrude from Tiller to remote controls.
I do not have a proper tiller handle to know how it worked before.

I know there must have been a button for the starter and button for the choke.

But what about ignition ON an ignition OFF switch? Does it have one or it is based on the throttle control like on my smaller 6 hp Evinrude?

you can view schematic diagrams online

go to www.shop.evinrude.com click on "electronic parts catalogues" drill down to your year/hp/model number -- you'll see a "steering handle" chart.....

I was just looking at it. Thanks. But it does not show anything that looks to be Run ON/OFF button.....
So does that mean that there is really no idling without turning handle on these motors?
