I've got this problem fixed but wanted input and/or to suggest what I did.
1986 19' Bayliner capri, AQ-131 and 275 outdrive.

On the AQ-131 is a pipe coming off the left rear (facing the back of the boat) of the heat exchanger.......
The pipe carries the sea-water through the exhaust manifold.

Anyway where it connects on the heat exchanger is a piece of plastic and the tube just goes up into the plastic and has a seal on a lip on the tube. No bolts, nothing! pressure keeps it in there, and being bolted onto the exhaust 18" back, and one bracket with strap.

Anyway I was spraying water out of there after replacing my battery/alternator and after sitting all winter.......scary.

Anyway turns out I can SEE the seal, so it's not obviously working.

I took it out and put it back in twice today, no easy feat considering you have to use a mirror to get under the manifold and line up the socket with the two tiny bolts holding the pipe in (and the bracket)......

Seems my pipe may have bent from the cold/warm weather?

The final fix was putting a chunk of 2x4 under the pipe and tapping it with a hammer until it straightened back into the hole.

No more leak, temp is good, just a weird fix......

Anyone seen this before?

Needless to say the boat is ready for it's first run of the year tomorrow and has one super clean sea-water pipe!

The nice thing about to day is that I found and cleaned ALL plugs that will be removed next fall when I winterize this boat......
