The coupler wasn't removed unless it came out when I pulled the shaft. When I put the upper back, I had to rotate the prop to line up the shaft before it would slide back down so I'm guessing that was the coupler it was lining up with. I'll go back and check again just to make sure.
I matched the two O rings with the old before I installed them just to make sure I was sold the right parts.
I'll recheck everything today and see if I can isolate the shift issue. Thanks again for the reply!
