Aqua Patio Docking Lights

Hi,

I have a 2002 Aqua Patio that has oval docking lights mounted at the bow in a "pod" that also contains the nav lights. One of them is out. I've got two problems:

1. I can't find replacement bulbs (assemblies?)

2. I can't figure out how to remove the old bulb/assembly. When I remove the two screws and pull it forward, it won't come fully out of the "pod." It feels like it's being held in by short wires, but that's just my impression.

Any light shed on either or both of these issues would be appreciated.

Have you tried pulling the whole pod up, you should be able to get to the bottom if you do, with no pics I don't know if it will work but they are normally just screwed in from the top.

Seriously, guys, thanks for your interest. 515abf, I did as you suggested and lifted the pod. As I suspected, the wires to the light were as taught (sp?) as they could be. The only way I could remove the light was to cut the wires. The remaining challenge is to find a replacement, There are no markings on the light whatsoever. I'm waiting for a call-back from my Aqua Patio dealer. I don't have a lot of confidence they'll be able to help with a light for a 10-year-old boat.

There are some pictures below. If anyone can identify the light, I'd appreciate it very much.

There are screws in the back of that that will get you to the bulb to see if it is replaceable which I am sure it is.

I used to have a bunch of those exact lights from work but must have tossed them out, that is a pretty common item and I am sure they are till using them.

Admiral, you save the day. It's an automotive headlight bulb that I should have no problem finding. I really appreciate your help.

Glad you got it, while you are at the store getting the bulb get a few shrink wrap splice covers for when you put the wires back together and I always solder any wire to wire connection, not going to come apart if they are welded together.
