ok, i have an old merc outboard, 110 9.8hp. SN3267352. from what i've seen, this is a 1972. it starts hard and doesn't idle well and i can tell the carb gaskets are old and seeping fuel so i want to do a carb rebuild on it. i was looking online to order some parts. can someone please look at the links below and tell me if these are the right parts for this motor? i ask b/c i looked on the carb and it has more than one number stamped on the top of it. the numbers are 1399-1930, 1399-4664. these numbers don't match the part numbers in the link, but they look right from the pictures in my seloc manual. any pointers? i really appreciate the help.

bp

fuel pump rebuild kit:
http://www.oldmercs.com/fuelsys.html#fpkit
part #: 21-30430A2

carb rebuild kit:
http://www.oldmercs.com/fuelsys.html#ck81
part #: 1395-9258A1

carb float:
http://www.oldmercs.com/fuelsys.html#floats
part #: 1395-8673

filter screen part number: 1399-3938 (same page as above links)

Re: Are these the right parts for my motor?

so i got the right float and fuel pump kit, that is good. i have a couple follow up questions:

1. as for the carb, are you positive that 1399-1717 is the right part #? why is my carb stamped with those other numbers? is it possible i have the wrong carb, or don't those numbers i'm reading off the top mean anything?

2. could the carb kit in the link above be the right kit w/ the wrong number on it?

3. do i need the filter screen for this or not?

4. can you reccommend a source where i can purchase these parts?

5. what does "1399-4206 Repair kit is NLA" mean? i'm not sure what NLA is and what is all included in this repair kit?

as always, thanks a lot for the help.
bp

NLA means No Longer Available, as in your needles and seats. They just offer a seal and gasket kit. I get mine from www.mercruiserparts.com You can look up your motor by serial number. They will have picture and diagrams for looking up parts.
