100% sure? No.

That's why I am armed. So I am only 99-44/100% sure.

Excuse my ignorance, but are those blanks in that weapon? I see no primer in the rounds.

I was wondering if anybody would notice. 8) It's not loaded, but the two sitting next to it are. ;)

Re: Are you sure your house is safe?

I am going to be upgrading my homes security system in the coming months. We had our cars broken into a week or so ago with substantial losses. (GPS system, digital camera, power inverter, cash, etc) Fortunately the dumb idiots left the brand new, in the box, power winch I had in the back seat for the boat.

You can run, but you cannot hide.

Current home defense system: Messy and ineffective

Anyone who decides they need to be in my house has this to look forward to. Maybe if I am nice I'll use the Glock instead....

Usually the claymores get them outside so they don't bleed on the carpet8)

Re: Are you sure your house is safe?

I just tried the lock bumping thing on my front door. Took me 10 minutes to make a key and one try to unlock the door. :^

Now I have a key for YOUR house too. d:) :%

Yep, still glad for the small town. Vehicles, when outside, are unlocked with keys in the ignition. Back door is usually unlocked - come on in and sit a spell. But if'n ya ain't friendly, me and my two friends (well, 3 akually) will greet ya right proper - ain't that right Mr. Smith, Mr. Wesson, and Mr. Ruger. There are a couple more Mr.'s around, but those are the ones in easy reach ...

Wow. Glad I have Schlage locks...that technique doesn't work on them...Just for fun, I made a MasterLock key per the instructions I found at that link...after about 5 minutes of tinkering with it, I was able to consistently open every MasterLock I have with the same key using that technique!

Plainsman: Those aren't missing primers you see on ZmOz's weapon, they're nipples - that's a cap and ball...

Re: Are you sure your house is safe?

I do not lock my doors, if I had to do that I would move. Of course I live in a small town and have the rep of shooting those who violate my space (just ask the spotted b'sturd) d:). Locks only keep the honest people out,,,

now you have to wonder,,,, what cars will this work on? The alarm on my newer car is disabled by useing the key to open the door :%:/ but it takes the right code (address) from the key to start it!
Still they may be able to open the door, with the alarm dissabled then use da button on da dash to open the trunk, then take what they want. Looks to me like this would work on almost any keyed lock :/

Re: Are you sure your house is safe?

Fortunately the people in my area who would want to go into a house to "borrow" things are tweakers who are opportunists. They don't actually break into anything, they try doors until they find one that is open. Not too hard because people laughably believe that because we are in a small town they can leave all their doors unlocked. Our thieves are lazy, they come to a locked door, they move on to the next. Too many naive people with unlocked doors to bother with all the work to break into anything...
