Well if any of you where following my posts on Help with Injectors. I have been having a low rpm 1998 225EFI running really rough below 2k rpm the whole boat shakes! I have tried almost everything and do not know what else to do.

Here is a list of what I have done.

1) Removed all fuel injectors sent out and cleaned and bench tested 2 times!
2) Cleaned filter in VST tank
3) Cleaned Filter in fuel pressure regulator
4) Cleaned fuel filter on side of motor
5) replaced water/fuel inline filter
6) replaced all 6 spark plug caps and spark plugs
7) replaced the o2 sensor and cleaned all parts.
8)checked all electrical conectors
9)put in enzyme fuel additive

My Yamaha mechanic suggested getting a spay bottle with some gas in it, take off the air silencer, have some one drive the boat and spray gas into one cyl at a time to try to find the bad one?

I am ready to dump it and look for a used 4 stroker over the winter.

you can try the spray bottle trick but make sure you mix with oil.do you have any alarms coming on?

Step back take a breath and read your own posts #35 clean filters and lines again try a portable gas tank for testing with fresh gas. In addition, apologize to Rodbolt.

RodBolt is a god send! he seems to be man when it comes to this stuff. I apologize for anything I might have said or done to offend him.

I would try the alt gas tank, but the motors runs perfect above 2k,

no one has offended me:).
I was in seattle WA for a few days .
at the end of OCT I will be in VE for 10 days or so, 11 broke boats with twins in the jungle :).
carefully test stator and pulser coil outputs with a DVA at the problem RPM. carefully test the coil primary inputs at the problem RPM. test the secondary ignition voltage at the problem RPM.
be aware the3.1 motors are not the smoothest below 2k if it uses the CCS system.
only the Vx and V 3.1 motors did not use ccs.

I have Checked the low press fuel pump diagrams. Did comp test all 120.

I guess I will have to get into more electronic testing like you say.

The motor never ran totally smooth at low rpm, it cuts down to 4 cyl but this is much worse than normal.
