Read your reply to my post regarding your impeller change. I started a seperate post so as to keep subjects seperate, etc.
Yes, I did the impeller, and it's pretty easy. Go get one of them Clymer or Seloc manuals and it'll show you step by step, with pictures even!
Also search here for "replacing impeller", etc., this subject has been covered a gazillion times...
The short of it is to loosen the lower unit, seperate the shift rod that's under the access plate on the side of the motor, then drop the unit from the motor. Waterpump sits on top of the unit. Take that apart, and you'll see the impeller. Note that on top of the shaft, there should be an O ring. If there aint one there, get one, it keeps junk outta that spline.
Gettin' it together is more of a pain - just line everything up and she'll snap right back together. Grease the top of the shaft, along with the shift rod/connector.
