Joe you responded to a an earlier post I made about my warmup lever being sloppy and you and a couple others said it might be a loose screw inside the control ! I checked and there aren't any loose screws . The motor is a 1985 rude 90 hp. inside the box the warmup lever and a little plastic piece that is attached to it, fit into the female plastic parts of the throttle on the other half of the box. My problem is i don't know what the plastic pieces are supposed to look like new so i can't realy tell if they are worn but i imagine they are. Anyway I was wondering if I could still get the plastic parts needed and if i can could a guy with average mechanical skills like me make the repairs! The parts on the warmup lever half look easy ,but the ones on the other side look a little harder. A local mechanic said it would run about $500 for a new box installed . I am just having a little trouble affording that right now.

any help would be appreciated .

thnx
mark

Mark.... Yes, $500 is pretty steep! Any chance you can get a few pictures of the inside of that control box to me, especially the parts you're speaking of? My address is below.

I'd be glad to check to see if I have those items if I know what I'm looking for.

The problem is that there are two or three types of OMC control box assemblies that resemble each other but the inner components are different.
