I went to New Port today so I snapped a few pictures of the castle, I should say whats left of the castle. The sun was shining at me so the pictures didn't come out very well plus after getting home and seeing the pictures I realized I had the camera set on macro. Well anyway, here is the best one taken from the bottom road. Its pretty overgrown with trees.<br />

Supposedly a man was building it for his wife and when she died, he gave up on it (similar to the Boldt story.) That is the extent of my knowledge of it though, and who knows it the story has not been corrupted over time.

You folks in the NE have lots of things like the castle that would be of intrest to us in the "young country". Yalls history predates ours by more than 200 years. I know I will probably never travel there to see them but if I did thier would b a lot I would miss. Why dont you all dig up more storys like thoes and post them for us? As a history buff I would appreciate it . Anyone else Intrested.
