Yes, and preferred over the old single pattern cams of the 70's. The exhaust having a longer duration and higher lift, helps compensate for the restrictive exhaust. Both the stock SBC marine (roller and flat) use split pattern cams. All cams recommended by Dennis Moore in his SBC Marine Performance book use split duration cams. The equal duration/equal lift cams are more car/race app.

I ordered a replacement thrust washer that I know is correct, so we'll see what happens with that.

I also ordered a replacement throttle lever because I'd been having issues with it.

So, a bit more work and a spare tach and new prop and I'll see what performance I get.
