Hello,
I have a 03 Suzuki 70 horse 4 stroke E.F.I.. I took it out of winter storage for the first time today. It started kind of hard due to burning up the fogging oil, but after warming it up, I got the boat on plane for about 1/2 mile. I shut the motor off. When I restarted it would not get up and go. I don't have gauges, it's a tiller. When I got back to the landing I shut the motor off. I turned it back on and heard 3 beeps followed by a pause and then one more beep. The motor continued to do that. I checked the oil, it was low but above the add mark. I went home added oil to the full mark and went back to the landing, no improvement.

Does anybody know what this motor is saying with the 3 beeps pause and one more beep? I looked in my manual with no luck.

A 3-1 code is a faulty or out of adjustment IAC (idle air control valve). Sometimes, in severe cold weather we have seen them stick. Best bet is to have your dealer check it out.
