I have a mid 80 mercury 115 it did not come with an auto oil mixer. I know that the oil mixers that come out back then on mercs where faulty. Anyone of a good mixer that I maybe able to add to my boat. Thanks Roger

Amen Bro, auto mixers are asking for problems, Mix it yourself and when you have fuel you have oil.

Re: aux oil mixers

I believe all merc 2 strokes are 50 to 1. The main motor on my Trophy is a 150HP Merc and has it's own mixing system. I also have an 8HP Merc kicker and have always hated that extra fuel tank under foot. To cure the under foot problem I installed a Raccor duel outlet fuel filter. One goes out to the main motor, and the second outlet is plumbed to an OMC Accumix tank, and then out to the kicker. The only problems I have encountered is when the fuel filter needs draining or is in need of replacing. The 8HP Kicker has a weal sister fuel pump and any restriction or impediment strains it. I keep an eye on it and stay out of trouble.
