Hi All<br /><br />Saw another post that someone suggest a "bad earth connection" Can someone 'splain it to me? I do realize that electrically speaking this is ground, hence a bad ground connection. Or at least I think I realize that. <br /> 
<br /><br />Ground and earth seem the same when a definition is given. Well in a strict sense ground may be just the soil but earth may include water. On the otherhand, we definitely do not want water as a part of our electrical systems. Or maybe we do....after all our grounded (earth) connection to the motor is in the water. he he he<br /><br />But is there a sailor's thought that it is bad luck to say 'ground' if it has actually not been spotted???
