There is no other EFI source. If you need a specific ECU then you need a specific ECU. First you need to know if you have a MEFI 4, a MEFI 5, or a 555 PCM.
From there you can see if somebody on the net is selling them cheap. It's not a diagnoses you want to screw up though, as you can't return ECU's.
If you want to go the other way. You need a Delco voyager distributor. An intake manifold, a carb, you'll have to look at the existing engine side fuel system and convert it as necessary.
Just a new manifold, carb, and ignition system not including any labor is going to put you close to the cost of a new ECU, and your going backwards. I'd be more curious as to why you need a new ecu in the first place.
