Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

I get this message about 50 to 75% of the time when trying to open up a "latest post", been happening for a few days.

I'm using chrome.

Is this me, chrome or iboats

I've been having it happen too today (not 50% of the time, but often) using Safari on the Mac.

I've also had instances where typing into the reply field is ridiculously slow, but it's random and intermittent.

Do you know the exact threads that gave you this message? I just clicked through several and didn't get it once.

It is iboats implementation of doubleclick's crappy ad scripts

Can you explain more on how that would cause a bad request?

The browsers are thinking that there has been page navigation because of things that are in the embedded scripts from doubleclick. Most of the issues that I've seen lately are coming from googleads.g.doubleclick.net Been happening randomly on multiple forums which are using DoubleClick's crappy scripts.

Do you know the exact threads that gave you this message? I just clicked through several and didn't get it once.

It seems to be random, today several that didn't open yesterday did open.

http://forums.iboats.com/johnson-evinrude-outboards/lets-talk-big-twin-speeditwin-584026.html This one ended up with a bad request. It's only when I try to go my post from 'latest posts'

The thread opens fine.

I'm in Safari 6.0.2 on a Mac and did this at (roughly) 1PM:

1.) Went to "latest posts" in my profile - where this has been happening
2.) Clicked through posts 'til I got to this one:


3.) Right clicked to "open in new window" and got this:


4.) Went back to the same post and left clicked on it. Got this instead:


It's really intermittent, and I don't think has effected the same "thread" every time. It's not particularly stopped me from getting anywhere, but it is happening.

I had that "bad request" message come up a couple of times yesterday . . .

. . . this morning, I am getting some 'links not found' . . .

So, probably something is not right with the bits and bytes behind the scenes .
