BAJA vs. COBALT????

i want a fast, high quality boat and cant make up my mind? which would you suggest for a 22 yr old college guy that likes speed and likes to ski some?<br />thanks

How fast ya wanna go? How much $$ are you loking at?<br /><br />Check out Triad boats <br /><br />Go to the models tab and look at the ski models. These are outboard models only. Don't know if you are interested in those.

I had a 1984 Baja Sport I had that boat until 1998, fast, handled great and rock solid, I now have a Wellcraft like the boat but miss the Baja, next boat will be a Baja. I got a chance to Demo a new 2004 20 Outlaw with a 5.0 mpi 260hp, boat hit 65mph. Best 20 ft boat in its class for under 40 grand cdn.

I picked up a 2004 Cobalt 220 the beginning of last season. I sprang for the 496 Magnum HO engine (425 hp) / Bravo 3 package and absolutely love it. I can generally run 63 to 65 mph at WOT, and every so often under ideal conditions I've seen 66 or 67 . It's at the high end of the $$ range for boats of this size, but worth every penny in my opinion. The quality of the workmanship is top notch, and I get compliments at every gas dock I pull up to.

go for the Baja. my roomate just got a 232 islander with a merc mag 496 and that thing is a beast. we topped out at around 72-75 with 3 people and half a tank. It is a sweet boat for skiing.

You would be over joyed in a Australian Competion jet boat. 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Do a 180 degree turn at any speed in less than 2 seconds. All the boats here are ok. You wanted some EXCITEMENT ?
