also i cant remember the name of the stuff but when we were fishing in the keys for dolphin my buddy had a can of stuff called "blue" or some thing similar which is designed to make the ballyhoo keep their color, preserve them, and to prevent them from getting soggy when thawed sorta makes them a little more durable! it looked like fine grain salt, you sprinkle 1 side flip it and sprinkle the other side, it worked great. i dont troll ballyhoo much but may be some of the guys that troll them a lot knows the name of that stuff, it is worth getting!
