Re: Base gasket
Outboardjake,Have you ever heard of a base gasket leaking exhaust into the adjacent water jacket and the extra exhaust pressure in the water jacket causing the bypass diaphrams{inside thermostats}to stay open even at idle making engine run very cold.I am getting a lot of black goey residue through the prop exhaust,also water spray is coming out of the upper{supposed to be dry}exhaust.Thermostats are all new,head gaskets are new & comp is 140 on all cyls.
