however with the stock cast iron heads at 80# a piece or the Merlin's I have at 85, a 30# head would be nice, especially when building the motor and lifting the dang things.
HX adds weight back (adding about 70# to the motor)
HX is $600 alone if you have connections. add to that the required brackets, plumbing, etc and your into the $1200 range
I can tell you from first hand experience, what ever you do, get a complete motor with all the brackets, accessories, etc.
