Re: Bass Tracker console--->formerly 1974 70hp too big

i can run a tig, i have already welded about 20 foot of seems on the boat, and have worked in a steel shop for about 4 years. I could do this myself but the price of almn. is way too much. i would rather build it out of treated wood, but this is extra weight unneeded. thats why i would like to find one factory made.

haven't thought of selling it. that is not out of the question though. but i will have to make sure that i have found a motor for sale that i can buy when i sell the 70hp. I do not know what it is worth, have not looked into that yet. if it comes to that i will sell it, but i have a few people wanting to trade. I just have to come up with the free time to drive to make the trade.

does any one know what it is worth anyway?

I purchased a 1974 70 hp triumph 3 weeks ago. I paid $600 for the entire boat and trailer.Only wanted the motor to put on a 16feet bay boat. Just go with what you have.

i would sell it for about 600 if i could find a good 40-50hp for that much, but it is hard to find one for that much that is worth it here in OKlahoma.

IF you are really serious about making a trade, I have a '88 40 hp Rude that I would be willing to trade with you. I have the control box and all the cables. I am in the Kansas City KS area. The Rude is in excellent condition. The lower unit has been rebuilt along with the carbs. It has also had the water pump replaced. As long as you can show me how well your motor runs I am up for it.

I am in the opposite situation as you. The 40 hp can run my boat just fine, but it is rated for up to a 115. So I am trying to get more HP on it. :)
